Our Mission
The Clay Education Foundation is a direct support nonprofit organization designed to strengthen public education in Clay County. By matching community resources with the needs of schools, we ensure teachers and students have the tools to reach their full potential.
History lesson
In 1988, the Clay Education Foundation was born from the vision of education and community leaders to enrich our county’s public schools. Over three decades, our dedicated team has championed teachers in delivering exceptional education to students of all ages.
We’ve cultivated long-term relationships in our community, allowing us to evolve as an organization, adding new programs, events, and partnerships. We are excited to continue to support better public education, preparing each and every student to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Practical and effective support for students
Our commitment to providing practical and effective support for students has resulted in powerful outcomes:
- The Foundation reached over 700 students and family members through literacy events last year
- Through the STEM lending library, 20,000 students have access to hands-on experiences in robotics, coding, cybersecurity, and other high-demand fields
- After using the materials from their classroom grants, 86% of students stated they would be interested in pursuing STEM classes in the future
Partnerships with educators
By working directly with schools, we can provide solutions and resources teachers need. That has had a direct impact:
- 98% of teachers reported spending less money out of their own pocket thanks to our work
- 90% of teachers reported an increase in class participation after having access to free school supplies through the Tools 4 Clay Schools program
- 100% of teachers said receiving a classroom grant enhanced teaching quality
Partnerships With The Community
The Clay Education Foundation helps students explore career pathways and connect with companies across North Florida. The career fairs bring together representatives from over 100 employers and military branches reaching 3,000 students annually.
