To be eligible a student must reside in one of the following Florida counties: Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns. At the time of application, the applicant must be at least a high school senior, enrolled or planning to enroll in a four-year university, junior college, or technical institution. The Association’s purpose in offering these scholarships is to provide financial support to encourage personal growth and assistance to qualified students planning to major in agriculture, veterinary medicine, and other fields of study.
Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
Scholarships are available only to students who enroll in four-year undergraduate degree programs at accredited U.S. American colleges or universities.
A high school senior and/or expecting to receive a high school diploma during the current academic year.
An active member in good standing of a National Honor Society chapter, meeting all membership requirements and obligations of the local chapter.
An NHS student account holder, verified by the NHS chapter adviser.
Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. college or university, military institute, or trade school.
Working or planning to work directly with children.
Pursuing graduate level studies for one (1) year in fields which address the special needs of children and youth; this includes, but is not limited to, Counseling, Psychology, Mental Health, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Exceptional Children, Remedial Skills Development, Hearing Impaired, and Gifted & Talented. Scholarships are not awarded for graduate work in administration or general education.
A U.S. citizen and a permanent resident of a state with a Junior Auxiliary Chapter: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee.
Planning to attend a U.S. college or university for full-time or part-time study.
Is a graduating senior in a Clay County high school
Lived within Clay County during high school
Has a grade point average of 2.5 or higher
Has completed the Clay County Cruzers scholarship application
Will be continuing their education in an automotive related field
Will volunteer to work at least 5 hours with the Clay County Cruzers
